Basic Glass beadmaking & Glass Fusing/Slumping

In past years, I have offered basic bead making workshops to those who have been intrigued by the art.  Most often these workshops are done through the Society for Creative Anachronisms (SCA) and are held in conjunction with local or kingdom collegiums.  They provide information on basic safety and work space layout as well and some of the chemistry behind what happens to the glass through it journey from glass rod to finished bead.  They usually last from 2-4 hours long and participants are able to create a handful of beads of their own making home with them.
